October 20 Website Update: Editing Effects, Gettysburg Sources and Photography Tools

I've added new learning resources and two photography planning tools to Dynamic Depth Photo.

Editing Effects & Techniques brings together 12 editing recipes and 26 image placements, with credits and source links. You can find it under Menu > Learn Photography > Editing Effects & Techniques.

I've also corrected two source links on Gettysburg Battle Maps. The 20th Maine reference points to page 212, and the 83rd Pennsylvania reference points to page 221.

Print Size Advisor lets you preview a local JPEG or PNG at a selected print size, compare cropping with keeping the whole photograph, and check the pixel detail available. The size chooser starts with material and shows six choices per page. The tool does not change your original photograph or save it between visits. Its catalog is limited to the photographic and flat metal base sizes currently included; availability still needs confirmation.

Color & Editing Assistant now starts with a Simple view and focused task buttons. You can choose a starting color, explore matching colors, check text readability and keep an editing plan. Advanced controls remain available. It is a planning aid, not automatic photo analysis or retouching.

Both tools are under Menu > Use Photography Tools. Testing and refinements continue, particularly on phones. Online sales remain paused.
