Digital HSL · sRGB output · Palette planning, without editing a photograph

Interactive controls require JavaScript. Start with blue #336699 and its digital HSL opposite #996633. Compare a small warm accent with equal areas, then check whether color or brightness separates your subject. This is a starting point, not a diagnosis of a photograph.

Terms, limits & next steps

Complementary: 180° apart. Split-complementary: two hues either side of the opposite. Analogous: nearby hues. Triadic: 120° spacing. Neutral: no distinct hue. Main/support/accent: the jobs you assign colors, not an automatic subject detection. Customized: a chip’s hue no longer follows the selected geometry.

Geometry does not establish balance, white balance, mood, or artistic quality. Equal HSL lightness does not mean equal perceived brightness. Screen appearance and print output depend on their conditions; this tool does not perform color-managed print matching.

Use selected color-range or region adjustments in your editor when appropriate. Palette codes are references, not guaranteed Lightroom settings. No photograph input, automatic retouching, AI evaluation, OKLCH, or color-vision simulation is included in this version.
